RE: Free Agents - Hobbit99 - 03-15-2022

***INCOMING***

The Panthers will apparently be adding another RB to the stable. The latest information available indicates that the Panthers have "Agreed To Terms" with Tennessee FA D'onta Foreman. Foreman is a RB in the pattern of a true "power" runner. He's 6'1" and weighs 236 lbs. If he can stay healthy he should be a reasonably good addition to our Offensive backfield. This is the third FA signing of a player from a different team for the Panthers this year. The Panthers have also re-signed seven (7..) of their own Free Agents.

He could b a goal line back if he runs well in ps. On the same boat, we sit down with Cam yet? As we promised? Hope we don’t do him dirty again.

I suspect Cam has had his meeting although I haven't heard anything. FA starts Wed. 4:00 PM. I don't think there is much of a market for Cam. He's been terribly ineffective recently. He will probably find a spot somewhere.....maybe. He's just so hot and cold. Can't maintain any level of play. So far, no team has been after him. No competitive offers from teams that I can find.

He's a Free Agent. It's his responsibility to locate a team....well, his agent's responsibility. If there are no offers from teams to his agent, he will just go home. The Panthers have no issues here. He's NOT being "released". He's NOT being "traded". He's NOT being "fired". His contract is up...completed. If there is no interest from any team, he will just go home....I guess..? It's possible, I guess,  that he could re-sign with the Panthers....but I don't think it's going to happen.

I know the team said they would "sit down" with him. I have to believe that has happened or will happen any minute now. The Panthers don't want anything confrontational with Cam. What Cam does with his future is up to him. It's not the Panthers' responsibility, IMHO. That's the way I see it, anyway.

RE: Free Agents - Hobbit99 - 03-16-2022

***INCOMING***

The Panthers have "agreed" to the acquisition of another Wide Receiver. Rashard Higgins a Free Agent with the Browns is apparently going to become a Panther. Higgins was drafted by the Browns and has been with them since 2016. His Combine results show him having decent (moderate) speed but apparently is a really smooth deceptive WR off of the line. Short steps and stride allow him to be deceptively quick and difficult to cover in traffic. He will likely join Shi Smith, Terrace Marshall, and others as competition for the #3-4 WR position where he would most likely work out of the slot.

***INCOMING***

The Panthers have added an additional LB to the squad. Damien Wilson, formerly of the Jaguars, has signed on as a FA with the Panthers. Wilson started all seventeen games for the Jags last season scoring more than a hundred tackles and adding three sacks. He also had five passes defensed and one interception.

The busiest I’ve seen Us in FA in a long time… nothing major, but still busy.

You're right.... Although Austin Corbett and D'onta Foreman are sort of major. Good FA pick up for the O-line and backfield..

RE: Free Agents - Josh21 - 03-17-2022

Trying hard before the draft. Bpa with few selections.

RE: Free Agents - Josh21 - 03-18-2022
