A J DILLON - PANTHERS AGREE TO TERMS WITH ANOTHER RB - Hobbit99 - 03-18-2026

The Panthers have announced the acquisition of A J Dillon. Dillon is a former RB from the Packers and Eagles. He ostensibly will take the place of Rico Dowdle who left in Free Agency. He has had a rather in-auspicious career so far, although his early time with the Packers was a LOT better than last year (2025). The Eagles allowed him only 12 carries last year in 7 games. He missed all of 2024 with a neck injury.

Sounds like he was a promising back out of Boston College, but after suffering a recurring neck injury for the past three years, it makes me wonder "WTH??". I mean, Jonathan Brooks is closer to being healthy than this guy, and I highly doubt JB will ever see the field again as a Panther.

My guess...
..cheap contract
..going have to earn a spot on the roster
..if he does...role player/3rd down.
...could end up on practice squad
...don't think it tells us anything about Brooks

Anything else  is a nice surprise.
