PANTHERS--Restructure Taylor Moton's Contract - Hobbit99 - 03-04-2022

I don't have the details yet, but the restructure saves some cap space this year which is really needed. Obviously, it moves that $$ into future years and would encompass a significant "dead cap" hit in the future if the Panthers were to release or trade Moton. As long as he is here, the $$ is still "owed" but can be paid in various ways (usually "bonuses"..) at a future date.

It will be interesting to see how much money Moton/Panthers move forward and to where and how much $$ frees up in this years cap.

Here is the "official announcement": PANTHERS--Restructure Taylor Moton

Waiting to see the numbers.....

MOTON RESTRUCTURE--Information...

According to Cat Scratch Reader, the restructure involves freeing up eleven million dollars (11 Mil $$..)  in cap space for this year.
Obviously, the Panthers will have to worry about this in future years, but it MIGHT be easier to stomach if the cap goes up and some dead money comes off the books soon.

Yep... That's what the early reporting is saying...
