PANTHERS--REMAINING FREE AGENTS - Hobbit99 - 03-16-2023

I guess I should have set up a Free Agent Chart/List like I did last year. It was easy to see what happened and who was left... Oh well.....

Anyway, I am interested in knowing who is left on the Panthers Free Agent Board this year and what is going to happen to them.  Specifically, I am interested in:  Matt Ioannidis; D'Onta Foreman; Andre Roberts; Cameron Erving; and Henry Anderson.  There are a few others who could be interesting as well, although not as starters.

Ioannidis and Anderson might be casualties because of the change to a 3-4 Base Defense (Maybe..??). Andre Roberts has a role as a ST guy, primarily as a Return Specialist. Foreman was a successful RB 1 last year, but with the arrival of Miles Sanders, Who Knows.. Could he stay here and be part of a "Dual-Threat" backfield.??  Erving was and is, a successful "swing tackle". He wasn't perfect as a L. Tackle and won't break into the starting lineup on the Left or the Right, but what about injuries..??

There are a few other guys still out there too.....

I still hate to lose Foreman. He was a brusier running back, moreso than Chubba Hubbard. Spencer Brown was a solid scat back when afforded an opportunity (and he's still on the roster), as is Raheem Blackshear.

Well, we haven't lost Foreman yet. He hasn't signed anywhere. We COULD bring him back and dump someone else (or two..). Of course, I don't expect Foreman to want to take a back seat to anyone. Hubbard did OK, but he's NOT Foreman or Sanders. Brown could leave too. No concern on my part. Blackshear is different. I want to keep him around because of his speed and shifty movement. He REALLY showed up in the return game. One game last year = 200+ yards in returns  IIRC.???

I just read an article a few minutes ago (will link it below) where it said the Panthers "probably" will try to bring Foreman back "at the right price", but they aren't going to pay two running backs #1 money.

You're not wrong...

Since last Friday when the news about the trade-up hit the wires, it seems like there has been a little something to talk about every day (well...except the weekend..). In comparison, today has been a blank slate. Other than maybe one little tidbit about Ian Thomas, nothing has happened.  I'm still waiting for official confirmation from the Panthers on Andy Dalton. And there are a few other things too...

Nothing for it, but to wait....
