This is NOT official at this time. That is to say, the Panthers have not 'announced' this yet AFAIK (I haven't seen anything...).

According to sources who "should" know, the Panthers are going to bring on at least three new Defensive coaches. If you remember, the Panthers have "excused" four "D" coaches this off-season. There will probably be additional hirings also as the spring season gets ramped up. It makes sense that the team will want the staff in place during Free Agency and during the run-up to the 2025 Draft.

In any event, The latest name to be 'added' is Kevin Peterson. He is slotted (supposedly..) as a Defensive Assistant. He will join AC Carter and Renaldo Hill as new hires (supposedly..).

Hope the new guys can help.

Wonder who was driving the changes?

We still do not have strength and conditioning replaced..is that right?  It  was about time something was done there!

Good questions...

I suspect that Dan and Dave were not satisfied with the Defensive play. Rather than blame Evero, Dave decided to make a few subordinate changes to better make clear where the problems were. I also think that Dan probably "encouraged" Dave to do SOMETHING to show that he was paying attention to quality of play on DEFENSE as well as Offense. Dave is an Offensive mind. He has to understand that the Offense cannot stand on its own. As the HC, he has to claim ownership of the TEAM. He had to DO something. The time for paying "lip-service" is long past. It's time to go.

Just like Dan has to shepherd the player personnel, the coaches are primarily the responsibility of the HC. If there is not significant improvement this year, I expect we'll see more changes coming up. Inevitably, the buck stops somewhere. That is almost always with the GM -- President of Football Operations. So, I expect that Dan will put pressure on Dave as needed to make the coaching catch up to expectations.

The Athletic Training Staff -- Boy, what a quagmire of individuals and positions. I really don't know who reports to whom. I know we have no less than three Physical Therapists, three Athletic Trainers, and four Strength and Conditioning Coaches. Not to mention ancillary positions like Analysts, Sports Science people, Culinary, and Sports Nutrition. I expect they all have very specific niches they work within, but I'm not smart enough to figure it all out. Specific to "Strength and Conditioning" though -- I've heard a lot of good things about Jeremy Scott (the head guy..). While there is plenty of 'blame' to go around, I'm not sure that this group could be improved by wholesale rebuilding. Maybe a random change here or there..... who knows. I think the S&C guys across the league work toward the same goals with the same equipment using very similar techniques. Very little benefit would accrue with a "fire-sale" approach to change. ---  IMHO.  (¿Quien sabe?)
