Wow... they sure took long enough.  In all of my years this must be the longest wait for any introductory presser I have ever endured.

Sam Darnold: I'm really excited for this fresh start (panthers.com)

After watching that, I want to feel happy for him, but I honestly felt bad. He has a lot of road rash from getting kicked to the curb by the Jets, but I hope for his sake (and ours) that he can put all that in the past and realize what a wonderful idea this can turn out to be for all parties.

Aside from the team-divorce still stinging, he gives off a little "Greg Olsen" vibe. Seems like a good guy.

WELCOME TO CAROLINA!

“You know”, bless his heart as he said that about 100 times, lol. The media and their questions never fail to amaze me. I thought overall he handled all the questions fairly professional. You know.

Fblaugh I noticed that, too.  He is clearly feeling like a bride recently scorned.  I hope he quickly feels at home here and that this season gives him reason to forget the Jerks.. .uh... I mean. the JETS, and put them in his rear view mirror for good.

I was reading some posts about Robby Anderson over on the Jets message boards a few months ago, and they talked crap about him.  Coming to Carolina was a great thing for him.  He had a career year last year with the Panthers.  Hopefully the same thing happens with Darnold.
