I am about to explode... I am so mad everything I look at is tinted red. My blood pressure is going through the roof. I have lived on this earth (with the grace of God..) for a lot of years. I've bought gas at .19 cents Gal, and at $4.89 Gal. It's currently about $3.20 here in my area. Everything is going up, yes, I understand. BUT there are some things that make no sense.
For those of us who take part in the shooting sports, ammunition has gone through a tumultuous period. Two years ago ammunition prices were generally reasonable... sort of. Then the prices went through the roof. THEN ammo became so scarce you couldn't buy it at all. Now it's slowly moderating and becoming available and prices are coming down. So a two year "cycle" seems a little outrageous, but I'm just happy to see it moderating. I've heard all of the excuses. I've listened to the manufacturers and distributors saying "It's not our fault..." But, It IS someone's fault...!!
NOW... It's groceries. Who in their right mind willingly pays $4-$5 pound for hamburger.?? And not GOOD hamburger either. These commercially ground beef hamburger packages are the absolute DREGS of the beef animal. Want a quart of yogurt.? OK, cough up $5.25. Want a good loaf of bread.? Oh, about $4.50. Want a nice sized roasting chicken.? Hold on to your a**.... about $10-$11....for a FREAKING chicken...!! Cheap 'bulk' hotdogs that I paid $1.04 pound less than a year ago are now $3.00+ A simple head of lettuce that cost .49--.69 cents everywhere last year is now $1.78 for one little head of lettuce. I don't even look at tomatoes. Just today.... I noticed for the VERY FIRST TIME in my life, that you couldn't buy a pound or two of oranges. You bought them individually, one at a freaking time, for .79 cents a piece..!!!!!!
Then...... THERE'S THIS.
My freaking HEAD IS ON FIRE..!!
