Hobs....come on man...he is now a Panther...you can't say those things!
He has an extreme country drawl. The most extreme that I have heard from a pro football player. However, because of what he has said, not just how he says it...it has become kind of endearing. This young man seems unique, an extremely kind person, who is a dawg on the field....."My ball or no body's"
What did do with his 1st paycheck [from signing with an agent]? He bought new equipment for his high school sports teams.
Definitely not a diva but a rather humble man with confidence in himself...and motivated to do better. That's a good 1st impression.
True story..I had a cousin who lived in Huntington Beach Cal. He got a great job offer in Louisiana and moved there with his young family. He had 2 elementary school age kids who were good students. Soon, his kids began coming home with failing grades on their spelling tests. When my cousin asked his kids what was going on with that they answered that they could not understand what the teacher was saying. Cajun was tough for Cali kids. (They moved back to Cali after 1 year...lol)
The more I listen to XL...I can understand more. I'll admit, I do love listening to him. He seems straightforward. Hope he never changes. Also hope he becomes a great receiver for us.
I agree with everything you said.!! I love his attitude and how he reacts. His community support is great too. I have nothing bad to say about him. Just listening to him when he gets rolling is a hoot. Starts off your day with a good laugh.
I have high hopes for him here in Carolina.
