THE MASTERS -- FRED COUPLES - 65 YO - 191 YD HOLE OUT.!!

Fred Couples won The Masters Championship in 1992. He's been playing at Augusta National for 35 years. Now, this year, at age 65, he shoots a sub-par round and pulls off the best, most exciting shot of the day. On the par 4 -- 14th, Couples pulls out a "trouble" club, a "rescue" or "hybrid" that he hits well. He knocks it in from 191 yards.

I remember the first time I heard Freddy's name. I was at a driving range taking some instruction from the pro. (He was trying to get me to slow down my hips through the ball. I was blocking a little and it showed on my alignment..).  Anyway someone came out of the clubhouse and mentioned Freddy. They seemed to know a lot about him. This was before he won the Masters...

Anyway, I've been a fan of his since that day. He's such a nice guy. Hard to not pull for him.!!!

You’re right..
Yesterday, I saw an overlay of Freddy swinging an iron. Two swings, one from 30+ years ago and one from now. You honestly can’t see difference between them. The setup, swing track, follow through were dead bang on top of each other. Carbon copies…. So smooth. Like a slow motion training video of how you’re SUPPOSED to do it.!!
