If wade Phillips is a DC candidate, why not HC?

The only way Wade Phillips is a genuine candidate, is IF the HC has already been decided. Think about it........

Head Coaches almost always pick their own coordinators. NO NEW HC will allow his future to be decided by an OC or DC with whom he has no background.....and no input into the choice. Not to say that Phillips is not the choice. JUST, if he is, then the HC has already been chosen....... IMHO.
