I know that's what everyone says but I'm pretty sure they are all guessing.  My guess is: If that was the issue, they'd have never brought him back to the PS in the first place.

Yeah, I agree with you guys. It's sort of hard to believe that the Panthers would have brought him back at all if that were the plan. Still.... Maybe he just wore out his welcome. Or, maybe, something else was said (or happened..) when he was brought back that was "the final straw".

Anyway, he's no longer here and apparently is no longer welcome...

MONDAY--CHANGES...

Today, the Panthers have added two new names and dropped one.

Added today were S Marquise Blair, and WR Preston Williams. Both Blair and Williams have had their seasons cut short the last couple of years with knee injuries. The Panthers had previously released Kenny Robinson from the PS and today released WR Ra'Shaun Henry.

The PS is now back to full strength.

YES.... And to make room for him, the Panthers released DE Drew Jordan from the PS.

So the PS remains at 16 in preparation for the start of the season.

Today, the Panthers have signed Kicker Taylor Bertolet to the Practice squad.  To make room for him, the Panthers released TE Josh Babicz.  The Practice Squad remains at sixteen (16) two days prior to the first game. This may be the final change before the game with Cleveland.

The Panthers have today decided to release Kicker Bertolet from the Practice Squad. They brought back TE Josh Babicz. Babicz was released earlier in the pre-season.
