For those who care.... And for those who haven't heard the news, the Heisman Trophy for this year has been awarded tp QB Caleb Williams from USC.
Williams let the Trojans to a 11-1 regular season record. However the Trojans were beaten (destroyed, really..) in the PAC 12 Championship game by Utah 47-24. Actually, both games USC lost this year were to the UTES. One in the regular season AND the Championship game. In any event, the Heisman balloting went his way and he won the Trophy.
Because of the loss in the Championship game, USC will not be part of the College NCS. With no possibility to play for the National Championship this year, the Trojans will play in the Cotton Bowl against Tulane on January 2nd.
Congratulations to Caleb Williams for the Heisman Trophy. Still, it must be a let-down being shut out of the NCS.....
