Bud, you don't know how GREAT it is to see you back!
I'll wish him well. But, I feel horrible for Wilks. He'll probably get another HC Opportunity elsewhere, I wouldn't imagine him staying here after being slighted.

I am a little surprised....No team has asked to interview Wilks. He is APPARENTLY not too well thought of as HC material. With all of the shuffling going on this year.....yet, no other team is interested.
If he opts to leave, as I expect he will, I imagine he will get a DC position somewhere (maybe Atlanta.??).
I would like to see him stay here as a DC.

Sayeth the Punster...SMH.
I was thinking along the lines of "The Fourth Reich" as a play on word connotation.
Yours is better.

Wilkes was told by Tepper he didn’t get the job, fwiw. Classy.
He will coach somewhere.

Yep..... Wilks was also NOT asked to be a part of Reich's staff. Which I think was a good (and classy..) move. Wilks would not have wanted to serve under someone who beat him out for the HC job. Not asking him allowed him to hold his head up proudly and move forward without the stigma of refusing and looking "petulant". Seriously.... This was the right thing to do. Tepper and those in charge got the process right.
Not sure Reich was the right choice, BUT.... that's a different subject.
I'm stilll afraid Wilks is going to end up in Atlanta as DC for the Falcons.

We now know that even that is not happening. I think it speaks volume even though Wilks’ fans will not like hearing that.
I personally think the Reich hiring is the best thing Tepper has done since he has arrived. Now he needs to step into the background and trust the process… and guys to do it right and for the longterm it will be a two to three year process.
Other than having an offense or defense guy as your head coach I think it speaks volume that Frank has the coaching experience, with a winning record and having some so with a QB merry go round… Wilks has simply not… but the most important qualification is that Frank has 14 of experience under the helmet in the NFL, Wilks had zero.
Again, I love this hire and feels it gives us longterm potential!!!
(on a side note, Wilks lost his two most important games. Against Pittsburgh, Tepper’s old team and standard to go by and the loss to a bad Bucs team that could have at least gotten this team in playoffs)
