Johnny Carson was BY FAR the best of the Tonight Show hosts. No one ever came close to him. He was so funny….. he frequently got himself in ‘trouble’ because he just reacted to guests. I remember one show with Zsa Zsa Gabor…. Oh my gosh…Carson was in trouble for weeks, maybe months. Zsa Zsa brought her fancy white cat on the show. She made a remark and Johnny reacted and it forced an instant commercial. Back from break Zsa Zsa was gone and Johnny was red-faced and the studio audience was rolling on the floor.
There will never be another Carson.!!
Robin Williams— I loved Mork and Mindy on TV. And two really good movies — Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society. The phone call from God in Dead Poets had to be seen to be believed.!!
He did a lot of special stuff, lots of TV specials, but those three are my favorites.
So many Greats have passed. SMH…
