I merged my thread with Josh's thread!

It's sad.. None of us have any real positive expectations.. NONE !!!

I remember last year.. we had the first overall number 1 draft pick lining up behind center.. So much anticipation.. and the Dream Team of Coaches... MAGIC was bound to be in the cards.... then,,,, we watched that first preseason game and went hmmmm.. Reich said he's just run a vanilla offense in the preseason.. Little did we know at that time , that, that vanilla offense was also our No Holds Barred Offense .. We were running the most complex offense we'd see , in preseason last year..

So we as Panthers fans don't expect much. No, Bryce won't play ,, that's ok..

GOOOOOO PANTHERS

Personally, I'd rather temper my expectations and be pleasantly surprised if it goes well. I feel much better about the team and coaching staff than I did last year. Never was a big fan of Frank Reich, and it all just seemed too convoluted and plain "vanilla" to me. I've kind of bought into the Dave Canales excitement and expectations.

Is the game on any local station. I have the nfl newtwork it just surprises me that it is not listed in my guide locally.

It appears WJZY will be broadcasting the game locally in Charlotte. (Still not listed on my guide which is unusual…)

My concern is properly recording the game.

This one IS a little strange.  I usually watch everything OTA (Over The Air). I don't have NFL Network available here because of poor Internet service. I'm in a 'hole' where there is almost no service available.  I shut down my satellite TV service over a year ago -- may have to go back to it...

Anyway, just went over to the Patriots site. -- They're showing the same crap..... Just some local stations (up there) and NFL Network streaming. Apparently, NO OTA network at all.  VERY STRANGE.....
Huh

WELL.... Did a little research about the game (with just an hour and a half to go before game time..).

Here is the information from Panthers.com  REALLY hard to find this time...??  Not sure why -- but I found some indications of a "link" to the information like this ---

On "Five Things To Watch" there was a mention that said this:
Quote:"Kickoff is set for 7pm EST. Find out more information on how to watch here."

Unfortunately, the "here" part was missing. Should have been a link of some sort at that point, But, To No Avail".

ANYWAY ... Some diligent searching located the page involved (although, I still haven't found a link TO this page anywhere..???).

Quote:Preseason Television
Fans can watch Panthers preseason games that are not nationally televised on the Carolina Panthers Television Network with Taylor Zarzour and Steve Smith Sr. on the call.
Preseason games will be aired over the air on the stations listed above as well as on Panthers.com and the Panthers app for free within the region's coverage area.
Queen City News (WJZY) is the Panthers flagship television station. Along with preseason games in the Charlotte area, the team behind Queen City News' award-winning sports show, Charlotte Sports Live, will also produce a variety of Panthers-based content, including pre- and post-game shows.

Yeah, it's on WJZY - Fox Charlotte. I can't stand watching on NFL Network.

I hear ya...

I'm going to "stream" it on my big screen iMac. FREE on Panthers.com (supposedly).  Hope it works out.

A big fat dump from the o. Seen this movie bf. I’d expect starters to play next week after that showing. Maybe to the half. That o was not acceptable today. Bu’s or not.

Show something positive o!
