I am NOT certain, but this may not go into the record books..???  It will depend on whether "pre-season" games count toward records of this type.

But, in any event, Dallas Cowboys Kicker, Brandon Aubrey, just set the distance record for longest FG in NFL history. Playing against the LV Raiders, he just kicked a sixty-six (66) yard FG with room to spare. The previous record had stood for a long time. Now it appears as if there is a "new Sheriff in town".!!!!

Actually, it's supposed to be the longest kick in history. Pre-season; Post-season; Regular season .... Doesn't matter.

I THINK the previous longest kick was 63 yards by several kickers.    OOPS--

OK... I was wrong. Justin Tucker, back in 2021, also kicked a 66 Yd. FG. So, THIS kick by Brandon Aubrey sits at the top alongside Justin Tucker  (TIE..).  It is also the longest FG EVER in Pre-season.

Yep... You're right, Josh. 66 is a  L O N G  way.

Not surprisingly, there have been a few attempts longer than that. None have been successful though. One of the "big name" kickers tried one from 76 not too long ago.-- sometime in the past few years. Obviously, it was short.  Anyway, word from some of the Cowboys people indicates that this guy Aubrey (rookie??) is in range out to 70...
