Upcoming free agents

I believe that we will have the first opportunity at any cut player, I think other than a vested veteran, from now until at least through week 3…possibly longer if we are 0-3. Might be a time to really improve this team. Let’s face it, most of our 2nd and 3rd stringers could really be upgraded. I highly doubt that a good QB could be out there but I hope Dalton is ready soon.

Dalton and Canales both said he was fine.  Coach just being cautious and wanted a longer look at Plummer.  Plummer by the way, might just develop into a decent QB based on the progress he has made recently.

# 1 in waivers. Pick of the litter till week 5

I was thinking today during the game that we were watching Plummer "grow up" before our eyes. The kid can play football. When he gets it, he's going to be good. He might never get a starting job in the NFL, but with some experience, I wouldn't be hurt having him as a backup.

The cut down is Tuesday at 4:00 PM. I'd bet that the coaches and Canales and Morgan and Tilis, along with all of the scouts will be burning the midnight oil for the next 2 1/2 days.  We not only have to cut our roster and pick our 53 roster, we have to allow for our Practice Squad as well. AND... we have to scout all of the other teams for potential cuts (waivers) to try to improve our position.  These next few days are going to be CRAZY..!!

Anyone have any guesses on potential acquisitions, or maybe just by position..??

I know our RB room is deep, but I was watching a video from a Buffalo tv station last night where they were talking about undrafted rookie Frank Gore, Jr, and that as good as he looked yesterday, it was going to be difficult for the Bills to keep him on the roster.  

If there were any way to get this kid, I'd grab him in a heartbeat!

He's a tough little guy, that's for sure. Look back at our game. Notice how LITTLE he is. He looks a lot smaller than McCaffrey was.  But, he comes by his size and attitude honestly. He owes a lot to his dad. Frank Gore Sr. was a really GOOD RB. I remember him well and some of his exploits as he made some headlines around the league.

I can only see a possible trade with one of our TE’s…however, I can see several “moves”  free agent acquired and players dropped. I think depth (and starters in some cases) are weak a CB, S, DE/OLB, OL…I could also see a RB come our way if Sanders is released, I just don’t see Boone adding any value myself.

I’m guessing a cb, maybe dl help, a olb(or 2), maybe st help. What, rb, wr, te, ol, ilb, s seem set. Maybe line, but I expect b/t Chritianson, Yosh, n Zavala we should b good if Yosh gets healthy. Just MHO.
