Hope everyone is safe,  My county (Burke) got a day of rain which caused flooding...before the storm even got here.  Crossing my fingers now about trees down and a road washout.  How is everyone doing??

A LOT of rain, but thankfully the main body of the storm went West of most of NC. Although I'm sure Burke county got hit harder than most of us. Western GA, NC, and Tennessee were affected the most.Charlotte caught the edge of it, but the storm had already turned to the west and headed across the mountains.

How is Burke county, LP.?? The main body went west of you guys didn't it.? (It's difficult to tell exactly. I followed the mess on the Internet, but it was hard to tell much...). It looked like the main body of the storm missed Charlotte and curled further west. I haven't seen an update, so I really don't know.  Hope you're OK, girl.

I just saw a report that the Broad river was flooding and over-topping the dam at Lake Lure. Emergency Management folks are saying that "failure of the Lake Lure dam was "imminent". Whatever that political speak means...

It doesn't sound good for that area and points downstream.  That should be South of you somewhat ... Right, LP.??

Lake Lure Dam "Failure Imminent".
