Agreed, Hobbit. And it isn't just the coaches. We hear it all the time, "QB So-and-Co went to his favorite receiver" or "WR So-and-So has really developed a chemistry with QB So-and-So". When a quarterback has a "favorite receiver" (ie; Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith), others often won't get a chance (Kerry Colbert) to get noticed or to make much of an impact, and yep, it's just the nature of the game, but at the same time I still feel bad for the guys who get cut.
