Not sure time frame matters though. It’s my understanding that teams can return eight slots from the IR during the course of the year. Now Darnold may very well go but… if his injury is expected to be 3-4 weeks, least assume it is three… we are still over a week away so why use one of your slots, so to speak, for a guy who might only be there 2 weeks? I would think they are holding old to see how much progress he is making over the next few days and simply saving that slot, which can be valuable. Just a thought.
