I have thought about that as well. "Now" would be about the time to keep him from costing us that high of a draft pick.
Yes.... I think (hope..??) that our coaches figure out the intricacies of that trade and resulting contract. In addition to the "conditional" pick, there are other 'conditionals' in his contract that affect what we end up paying him. Which, of course, will affect our CAP numbers this year and next.
