He comes across as polite, yet firm; inquisitive, yet 'in charge'. I think most, if not all, Panther frans have high hopes that he can right this ship, turn it around and get it sailing a tight course into calmer waters.

I am one of those who are "drinking the Kool-Aid". I believe he can do the job. I am not sure about some of these steps, like picking up six "waiver-wire rejects", but he's the man with the plan. My hope is that Dan Morgan will ameliorate some of the exuberance. If in fact that occurs, Canales could have a long and successful run here with Morgan steering the overall course along historical Panther cultural boundaries, and Canales fighting the on-field battles. Which is the way it should be IMHO.

I think his 'sounding well-prepared' is due mostly to answering questions clearly and concisely, or refusing to answer them at all. There is very little 'tap-dancing' around subjects. He's not terribly verbose, but he's not sarcastic and adversarial like Bill Belichick either. It's a good middle ground and it makes him appear learned and eager to please.

With "fingers crossed", I am happy to be a part of this revival of Panther culture.
