It’s upon us!  Is anyone else really worried about what we look like Thurs?  3rd n 4th string qbs.  One just signed.  Starters bound to sit out.  I am.

Or are most of u still cautiously optimistic?

After last year I put more stock in looking like a team early, not waiting for regular season.  I’d just like to see a prepaired football team!  That’d b a start…

I’d settle for a few points n compitence

I would rather see Young play a series or two and then into second half next week and not even dress for week three but what do I know.

Yep ...
Only problem is, with an all new coaching staff, all new playbook, all new scheme, and a LOT of new players -- these guys need as much "rep" time as possible. Still, I think you're probably close to right. I don't expect to see too much of Young in the pre-season..

Well...

The latest word is:  Bryce will NOT play on Thursday against the Patriots. (according to Panthers.com)

I pray we look functional.

Gotta see cohesion on all three sides. I hope…but it’s been awhile. I hope for the best. Doesn’t mean I am not worried.

So...can I assume that the Oline has not yet "gelled" and they do not want to get Bryce killed?

By the way...Plummer is 6'5" ,,,,wondering..... can he run [for his life]?

Good question....

I THINK it's more a situation that is taking hold on all (most..) teams across the league. Many coaches have come right out and announced that their #1 QB will NOT play in the pre-season at all.  If they have a good, reliable #2, their offense can get the work in and they can evaluate players without the risk to their #1.  It's a risk vs. reward thing. It would be good to get some snaps with the #1, but the risk is still there and the potential reward is sorta low..??

I actually believe that our O-line is going to be pretty solid. It may take a week or two to iron out the little idiosyncrasies, but it should smooth out pretty quickly. (Hopefully..)  My one real concern is still Icky Ekwonu again this year.

Truth told, I am WAY more interested in the Jets game (and practice..).  Should give us an idea about a few things...

Wow, it has been a long off-season.  Not the worst, but I'm so glad to see our boys in uniform and back on the field tonight.
No expectations here, but I want to see a sense of confidence <This is the point when the power went off at my house lol>t
