New Miami quarterback Carson Beck and his girlfriend, Miami basketball player Hanna Cavinder, had their cars stolen during a home burglary Thursday night.

According to multiple media outlets, the Miami-Dade Sherriff's Office arrested Tykwon Deandre Anderson and charged him with burglary of an occupied dwelling while wearing a mask, grand theft and grand theft of a vehicle.

In the arrest report cited by multiple media outlets, Beck told deputies he and Cavinder were asleep when the theft happened. Beck had a Mercedes and Lamborghini stolen, and Cavinder had her Range Rover stolen.


He will be a 2026 draft prospect. Seems to be a bit too flashy and full of himself. Buyer beware..

I was going to ask who in the world was Carson Beck. But I realized I knew who he was - AND I could look up his stats ... So I'm going to go do that.!!  I can't see any college athlete owning a Lambo unless he (or she) has a family fortune available to spend.  I guess I'll see in a few minutes.

Well, it doesn't look like Beck has a fortune buried in his family tree.!!  So, I guess that means he has benefitted greatly from the NIL stuff apportioned to college athletes (That Lambo is in the neighborhood of $250,000 -- THAT is a nice neighborhood, isn't it.??) . Most reports see him gaining 3-4 Million in "support" money per year -- this past year and coming year.  SMDH... College was supposed to be about the purity of the sport. Instead it's devolved into a giant money grab for the athletes.  I'm appalled at the crass sensationalism.

So..... Carson Beck.  Was supposed to be the top QB in this years draft based on last years (and 2023's) performance. But, hold on... He decides to forgo the draft. Wants to go back to the Hurricanes for his last year of eligibility. So Georgia's loss will be Miami's gain (apparently). That means, barring a horrendous accident or injury next year, Beck will be in the 2026 Draft. His numbers from last year were solid, although not as good as 2023.  Next year **should** be just as good or better. We'll see.

Was odds-on favorite to go #1 in the draft -- before he tore his UCL (elbow) and had to have surgery. NOW -- who knows.?? A lot depends on how he performs at Miami. That is (probably) why he decided to go back for another year. Right now he is ranked as the #3 returning QB in the nation. Which of course means nothing. His work at Miami means everything...

OH... Forgot to mention... He got his cars back....
