Early line, Panthers are only a 5.5 underdog!

If we play like today, we get some wins soon.

Hopefully.

Sad to say, but we lost Chinn the minute that Reich and company stepped in.  They have no idea how to use the guy.

I am really surprised that Evero has not done great things with Chinn.  With Evero's rep when he came in here I expected him to be a great coordinator for him.   During the bye Evero and Capers need to figure out how to get more out of Chinn and Burns.

We've heard so much about how good Chinn should be , but he's not really been a factor.  What I mean is, even though he might be making tackles, they're after 10 plus yard gains..   We heard gossip about him playing closer to the line of scrimmage.

When we drafted him, I heard all the chatter about him gaining weight like Thomas Davis ( drafted as a defensive back ) and moved to linebacker.  He's not sniffed the line of scrimmage. He's not been an a All Pro as a defensive back.  But I'm sure Evero and Steve Wilks  haven't and didn't move him.

As always,  after a Bye Week,, I expect us to come out on fire.   We don't have a great record for games after the bye lol..  BUT THIS YEAR ,, WE BEAT THE TEXANS

He is a natural OLB/strong safety. Problem is, they keep experimenting and not leaving him in place. I feel like he’s wasted here

Wasted -- TRUE.  And it's a shame.

I would contend though, that he is indeed a natural Strong Safety, but He would be a lot more effective as an ILB than a OLB. He's just not big enough to take on 300+ pound O-linemen off the edge. (IMO..) --- Actually, probably not big enough to play inside either, although his coverage skills would probably be better there, utilized in drop back coverage. He's proven he can handle the tackling up close, but he can't push those 300 pounders around. Strong Safety is where he belongs.
