I wonder what happened???  This just sounds odd, but I suspect we will hear more about it sooner or later.

Adrian Wilson no longer a member of Carolina Panthers front office (msn.com)

Adrian Wilson's departure from the Carolina Panthers has caught many by surprise. The team's Vice President of Player Personnel has quietly exited his role, a change first noticed when his name vanished from the team's official website.

The Panthers later confirmed his departure, stating, “Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers,” a team spokesperson told Pro Football Talk on Sunday morning. “Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”

Wilson, who joined the Panthers in February 2023, marked his return to North Carolina, having played college football at N.C. State. His notable NFL career included being a standout safety for the Arizona Cardinals from 2001 to 2012, earning a spot in the Cardinals' Ring of Honor. Post-retirement, Wilson served in various scouting and executive roles with the Cardinals, culminating as interim co-General Manager in 2022.

Despite being linked to high-profile roles, such as the Jacksonville Jaguars' GM position in 2022, Wilson’s tenure with the Panthers lasted just over a year. His sudden departure adds to the growing list of brief tenures under David Tepper’s leadership across his sports ventures.

Yep, just saw that. Dang, I know there are two sides to every story, but still, dang dude. How many $million per year did that moment of anger cost you?

Props to the organization for taking action and for the way they handled it.

Yep, and I'm personally glad they didn't cause a big scene that people could use for "bulletin board material".  He deserves whatever is coming to him, one way or the other, but whatever he did had nothing to do with this team or its future.
