DAN MORGAN TALKS ABOUT FREE AGENCY - PRESSER

Dan Morgan held another press conference today to highlight the Panthers work so far in Free Agency. It's been a REALLY busy period for the Panthers this year who now appear even more ready to move forward toward the draft.

A few days back someone here mentioned how "busy" Panthers Free Agency has been this year. And they HAVE been busy - no doubt. NOW, with these additions, I think this may have set a record.!!

(I don't really know - It just seems like it. I've followed the Panthers from the beginning, and I don't remember a year like this one. -- Of course I'm old and my memory is not as sharp as some of you young whipper-snappers...)

A lot of people were upset when Dan was hired.  Thought he would be Fitt,II and/or Tepper's pawn.  He is neither. 

He is disciplined, focused, and he wants to win.  He thanked the Teppers for the trust to let him do his job.  He was never handed anything but worked his way up.

He has demonstrated that he does not make decisions out of loyalty. He is not afraid to move on from his mistakes.  He respects people and is classy in that he treats people the right way...even when it is difficult.  One a laughing stock...now players are wanting to come here. 

Dan is building this team to be a winner for the long term, not just a team trying to buy a championship for 1 year.  I am sure he and Tillis, after he came on board (how did we get him???) have put in a tremendous number of hours since each one started, to try to fix this thing.  The Panthers were a mess when Dan took over.  He has now steadied the ship (somehow neutering Tepper in the process) and is now moving this thing forward.
