Dateline Today---Tuesday, September 6th, 2022
In a rather startling prediction today, Kyle Brandt of NFL Network has picked the Carolina Panthers to win the 2022 NFC South Division. He seems to be sold on the Panthers over-performing "young' defense, along with a healthy Christian McCaffrey and a revitalized QB corps.
I feel certain that his prediction will not meet with a lot of concurrence. However, as we all know, these early season predictions can be "all over the place." And the Panthers do indeed have a solid batch of skill-position players. Three of the biggest discriminators in the NFC South will be.... The continued dominant play (or not..) of Tom Brady; The healthy and dominant return of McCaffrey; And the questions surrounding Mayfield's QB play. You could also add in the play of QBs Jameius Winston and Marcus Mariota as being NFC South question marks.
There is a lot of football to be played. Let the games begin.!!
