I hesitated to post this because it sounds sort of odd. I waited to get some confirmation and it showed up. So...
It appears as if the NFL has decided to do away with the "Pro Bowl" effective this season. I have heard that it is an indefinite suspension of the football game.....not of the "activities" and the "awards" so to speak. Also there has been some talk that indicates it could be brought back at some point. If this is all true, I am sort of pleased. The Pro Bowl game has devolved into a "spectacle" rather than a real game. The awards and the reasoning behind it is great. But the game was really wearing out, mostly because players get paid so much money and they are truly hesitant to risk their futures (read "money") on a game that means nothing.
So, here is a link to a reputable source.
