There is 1 area of concern I thought about...that is placekicker. Not confident that our kicker is on the roster yet.

Well, yeah maybe..?? I don't know. Kickers have so little emphasis placed on their position that it is difficult to really evaluate just HOW good a kicker is. I think we have two kickers who could perform well. I am really pulling for the rookie from Florida State, Ryan Fitzgerald. He's almost twenty pounds heavier than Wright at 193 vs 174 so he should be 'stronger'. Of course, kicking is as much about technique as it is strength. Wright has a decent 4 yr. history in the NFL, but Fitzgerald has a GREAT record on kicking at FSU.
In the last two years of his FSU career he missed a grand total of two kicks. Two kicks in two years..!!! Year before last (2023) he missed one FG between 20-29, and one FG between 40-49. He made ALL of his XPs (PATs) - 100%. Last year (2024) he made every kick he attempted, ALL of them - 100%. SERIOUSLY.!! In the last THREE years he missed ONE (1) XP - PAT. ONE missed PAT in three years.!! He is also solid in the 50+ range.... longest was 59. I just hope he keeps it up in the NFL.
