Word on the street.....
Latest word is....The Panthers will NOT tender PJ Walker. Since it is now the evening of Day one (1) of the new contract year, that statement has proved to be correct. So, with PJ searching for a home, he'll probably catch on somewhere. his days with the Panthers are over unless we have a rash of injuries and need some backup quickly....provided he has not signed somewhere else.
It is still theoretically possible that the Panthers could sign him..... BUT...

Dalton’s a good stopgap. Hope our rook can be ready week 1. If not, lean on Dalton.
Our third qb should b Eason, unless Coral shows out in camp. Either could b a backup high end or better years from now. Who knows?
We will have 1 on the ps, don’t know who it’ll b.

Everything depends on….well, everything. As we stand right now, we have three QBs on the roster. With PJ gone, we still have Jacob Eason, Matt Corral, and Andy Dalton. Add a new Draftee QB, and we’ll have four. That means, after camp, we’ll probably be dumping Eason. UNLESS….. we decide to move (trade.??) Corral. I’ve heard a few rumors to that effect. Seems like a long shot to me, but who knows…
