MATT CORRAL -- HIS APPROACH TO 2023 - EXPECTATIONS AND PLANS - Hobbit99 - 05-23-2023 We haven't seen Matt Corral recently. It's good to see him again and listen to his thoughts and his approach after a disastrous injury last year. I know he wants to play. Sure hope he gets a chance this pre-season to show up a little. RE: MATT CORRAL -- HIS APPROACH TO 2023 - EXPECTATIONS AND PLANS - Josh21 - 05-23-2023 He seems to have the right attitude. Improve as a player, do your best, hope for a chance/long career. RE: MATT CORRAL -- HIS APPROACH TO 2023 - EXPECTATIONS AND PLANS - Firstchance - 05-24-2023 Maybe, just maybe, Matt Corral might just be the starting QB. He talks the game and he is 6’2” which is like a giant on this squad. And he doesn’t want to be traded. Who knows? I really like Corral's attitude toward the Panthers and the game. If he gets a chance, I expect he will do a good job. He has one serious "fault" going against him. He wasn't drafted by this staff. The current coaching staff has no 'skin' in Matt Corral. Will they give him an honest chance.?? Probably not. They're too invested in Young. Still, Corral is here, and he wants to stay here. We will have to wait and see. ¿Quien Sabe? RE: MATT CORRAL -- HIS APPROACH TO 2023 - EXPECTATIONS AND PLANS - PantherFan007 - 05-24-2023 If he is healthy, he will have the same opportunity to start that either of the other two has. That having been said, if Bryce Young is not the starter by week 4 at the latest, we have some serious problems. That having been said, if Bryce Young is not the starter by week 4 at the latest, we have some serious problems. It would be nice if things were that simple. Unfortunately, they're not. The Panthers have a LOT of "skin" invested in Bryce Young. They are going to do everything possible to assure that Young ends up starting. He will get EVERY opportunity to play while the other guys sit back and watch. They have already said during interviews, that Young WILL be the starter. They didn't give up DJ Moore and all the draft picks to sit Young on the bench. He will have EVERY opportunity out there. It's already starting. Press conferences have already said that Young is taking most of the snaps with the 1s. Dalton is getting a few, and I suspect that Corral is not getting any. The Panthers have too much invested in this guy. Young will play, to the detriment of the other QBs.... and maybe to the team as well. If he does well, that's great.!! If not, just settle in for a LOT of excuses..... and he will still play. And the worm turns.... |
