SMDH -- I wonder who amongst us will be honest enough to say they "saw it coming".?? Well, I did. I couldn't believe we drafted him to start with. A Running Back for gosh sakes. !! Torn ACL at end of season in 2023 -- Surgery -- Recovery & Rehab. -- No Info this Spring -- No Combine -- No Pro Day -- Nothing, NOTHING to indicate he would recover at all, much less be ready to play NFL football as a RUNNING BACK. The most dangerous position on the field for injuries.! ! ! So... We drafted him anyway. AND in the 2nd round yet. What were we thinking.? Did anyone wonder about his 'condition' when he couldn't practice at all?? How about when he didn't make the "expected" return to action date.?? Finally shows up in Week 12, or whenever it was. Plays a couple of snaps in three games...and GUESS WHAT.??
Well..... It's official. Another torn ACL. Same rebuilt knee. --- CRAP!! ---
----- Stick a fork in him. He's DONE.! I feel bad for the guy. I really do. But, you know what.... He will be OK. He'll have another repair surgery. He'll probably end up walking like a perfectly normal young man. He'll get the best of medical care (THIS time..). But his career in the NFL is over. I can't honestly see ANY team taking him on -- except maybe as a tackling dummy. But, like I said, he'll be OK. He has "insurance". And he'll get a payout. Maybe a "retirement" benefit of some sort. YES, I know players have come back from multiple ACL tears. Think Thomas Davis. But TD was a LB not a RB. He didn't have to maneuver and move like a RB does on every snap. SMDH ---
The ones I REALLY feel sorry for are the Panthers. What a disaster.... Between him (can't move -- busted up flipper) and Legette (can't hold on to anything), the Panthers top two (2) picks are ... uhh ... non-existent.??? In all fairness to X, he could, might, (maybe) still turn out to be a decent WR. And if he does, well then, one out of two ain't bad.??? Right.???

Sad news for the Panthers and this young man.
I imagine each one of us were concerned when taking someone , so early in the draft, who was currently out with a torn ACL..
So many recover from these to go on to have decent careers.
I don't get the feel he's going to be like Thomas Davis. Hope I'm wrong.

I was holding out hoping that he would heal and be the future of our Team. When he went down on Sunday and grabbed his knee, I said out loud, "Oh, he's done". I hate it for him, I really do. Wishing him the very best in the future. If we have to offer him an injury settlement, will we get a compensatory pick in next year's draft for him?

My initial thoughts are that the team, right or wrong will not give up on him too quickly. There is more information to come...read that the severity of the injury in not known until the surgeon gets in there and takes a look at it. Panthers surprisingly stuck with Thomas Davis and it paid off. I know, diff position. Brooks will certainly have Davis supporting him.
Anyone know any rb's in the past who have faced this and the outcome? Just hope with the surgeon does get to access the news is better then feared. In the meantime, love what Chuba is doing.

About 62% of these players return to play, but their performance decreases compared to a control group.
Overall
67.6% of NFL players return to play after ACL reconstruction, but only 41.3% play two seasons after injury and 28.5% play three seasons after injury
I’m thinking at his position the young man is more than likely done. Hope he has a great education and a very meaningful life… seemed to be good character. Poor poor decision by Morgan but hopefully he learns from it. Right.

In 2012, Peterson returned to play in the Vikings' season opener just eight months after tearing his ACL and MCL on Christmas Eve in 2011. Peterson went on to have an arguably historic season, averaging more than six yards per attempt and being named the NFL's Most Valuable Player. 4
In other sports... maybe or maybe not as much wear and tear on an ACL to come back better, Tom Brady, Lindsey Vonn ( probably the most torque on ones knee , Alpine downhill skier ) Thomas Davis, we all know...

So he can come back if all the stars are aligned

First & OP -- Exactly right. There is, however, one important distinction. Other than Thomas Davis who played a much different position, ....... Is there a RB - Running Back who EVER returned from MULTIPLE ACL tears/reconstructions on the same knee..??? I don't know, but I think not.
I believe that the Panthers WILL give him all the support possible. I think he WILL make an attempt. But, seriously, what are the chances he returns with 100% of the strength and ability he had before the two knee surgeries.?? -- I guess it COULD happen.??
This sucks !!
