Let’s assume. - Firstchance - 11-10-2025
That our Panthers decide to move from Bryce Young and draft a QB in this years draft. Which by the way is not the strongest QB’s to choose like like just a couple years ago (when we should have been draft…who knows Drake Maye maybe).
No one is a starter and will take one if not one and a half, two years to assume the reigns (in my opinion).
Who would you attempt to sign to be that filler of the position?

"IF" the Patriots release him (or dare to stick him back on the practice squad), I'd take a hard look at Tommy DeVito. The kid can play some football. He's 6'2, has a strong arm, and he's accurate as hell.
And "IF" we can draft high enough to get him, I'd snatch up Fernando Mendoza. He'll likely be the #1 or #2 QB in this upcoming Draft. He's 6'5 and 225 lbs.

If we would pay Daniel’s we might could get Him to come home? Who knows maybe a small hometown discount? Can I at least wish for Daniel’s?
He is the only one I see that could be “the” guy! Otherwise I can see a Mariota on a two year deal with said draft pick to take over late in year two.

I’d honestly say stick with Bryce next year cause there’s no really good options, unless some Brock Purdy or Tom Brady type of overlooking is done
Otherwise I’d say maybe Sam Howell could come cheap, I just don’t want to spend anymore capital on meh, I feel next year we really need to focus on keeping core players and building pass rush/LB. Then get a plug and play QB in 27
