With Jeremy Chinn out for awhile, the Panthers need a tough Safety who is ready, willing, and SMART. Turns out, we may have one..... according to "CB Extrordinaire" Donte Jackson. The Panthers will be relying more and more on Xavier Woods for coverage, pass and run both. Recently, Rhule has been "singing the praises" of Xavier as a "smart" Defensive mind as well as a leader on the field. Woods is a little on the 'quiet' side off of the field, but apparently knows the job and allows no "complacency" to develop while on the field.
Rhule isn't alone in his praise for Woods. Both Horn and Jackson have nothing but good to say about Xavier Woods and his leadership and communication in the Defensive backfield.
