PANTHERS ROSTER STUFF -- WEEK 16 - Hobbit99 - 12-21-2022
There is some news this week around the Panthers' roster. With the Defensive Backfield wearing a little thin, last week forced some decisions and substitutions that left very little "meat on the bone". It appears as if C.J. Henderson will be back on Saturday, so that will let the Panthers breathe a little easier. To further help the situation, the Panthers have claimed CB Justin Layne from the waiver wire. Layne was drafted in the middle of the 3rd round in 2019. He has spent time with the Steelers, Giants, and Bears this year. The Bears recently waived him before the Panthers claimed him.

Also, this week, the Panthers have again released Tae Hayes from the Practice Squad. That opening on the PS along with two others on the 53 makes a total of three potential additions possible for the last run of the season. One of those spots will probably be used to roster WR Andre Roberts. Roberts, well known for his "return" ability has been on IR because of a knee issue. Today (Tuesday..), the Panthers have placed Roberts on the "Designated To Return" list. That gives the Panthers a couple of weeks to decide if he can be ready to play (actually, 21 days..). Still room for a couple more 'pickups' though...
