Levis clearly NOT the guy. - Firstchance - 03-24-2023 Can’t post it here since I don’t do Twitter but there is a clip on cbs sports showing Reich meeting Levis at his pro day. If body language means anything, even remotely, Reich says not our guy and Levis says I’m not their guy. Hope you guys can see it. RE: Levis clearly NOT the guy. - PantherFan007 - 03-24-2023 I was just looking at the same twitter feed on Panthers.com. Another thing that came to my mind was that Reich appeared to be by himself. I know he isn't, but where are the other ten members of the team? And I thought the same thing when Reich clasped Will's hand and did the shoulder bump, I thought then and there, "Welp. That looks like a "I hope this don't take all day because I have more important things to do" moment. I'm not sure about this. Hard to tell anything from a single camera view. This video 'clip' is early in the day. It's several hours ahead of the actual session. A lot of the guys are not there yet. A lot of the players are not there either. It might seem more important if all the players were there and there was some action going on... It will be interesting to see what all this looks like when folks start to "gather". RE: Levis clearly NOT the guy. - PantherFan007 - 03-24-2023 (03-24-2023, 12:19 PM)Hobbit99 Wrote: Hmmm... I'm not sure about this. "Hey bud, no hard feelings, right?" "Yeah. No hard feelings" RE: Levis clearly NOT the guy. - Hobbit99 - 03-24-2023 Just to be clear... I am NOT saying that Levis is going to be our pick. I am also NOT saying that he should be. I fully expect either Stroud or Young to be the #1 pick. My personal choice would be Stroud, although Young has some traits that can't be ignored. Here is the way I see it. The Panthers (Fitterer, Reich, & McCown mostly...) are doing their "due diligence" for this first-level pick. To arbitrarily rule someone out because of a facial twitch or frown or whatever, is just silly. After watching the vids, I saw Levis make some throws 'on the move', clean and smooth, several of them going left 'against the flow', 30 and 40 yds down field. I suspect that no other QB in this draft is capable of making those throws with that ease (IMHO). This dude has an arm, THAT is for certain. What that means exactly, for his draft position, ....eh, I don't know. THIS, however, I DO know. There are four QBs on this list, five if you count Hooker. Only ONE will be selected #1. So whatever you say about Levis as being "NOT the guy", you can also say about three or four others. The biggest drawback about Levis (his production) is instantly understood when you realize that he was not surrounded with the talent at Kentucky that Stroud and Young were at OSU and Alabama. I fully expect Levis to perform well as a starting QB in the NFL. (Maybe..??).. RE: Levis clearly NOT the guy. - Josh21 - 03-24-2023 Let’s see Richardson n talk. |
