I know what you're wondering, because I'm thinking the same thing. If he needed a little clean-up done, WHY wait this late to do it.?? Why not in January, after the season ended.??
Good Question.
The answer may be.... "Because the 'need' for surgery was just now discovered", as the players have just last week returned to BofA for the start of off-season workouts. It's unfortunate that this has happened, but there is good news. It's not particularly "bad" or "difficult"... Burns is expected to be "ready" for training camp and it should NOT affect anything going forward.

Yeah....... I wondered the exact same thing. How do you know BEFORE the end of the season that you have an injury, and choose not to fix it until OTAs?
