Congratulations all around.  All I have heard this week was about Andy Dalton not having played much, the Defense couldn't hold, we had not weapons who could get open, and the run game just wasn't cutting it.

Also heard all week about how the Raiders put a shellacking on the Ravens last Sunday.

I had a "feeling" about this game.  As soon as the game started and I saw Andy Dalton connect with his first wide receiver, I was excited.

<disclaimer - I spent over half the game fearing we would let them back in it and lose the game>

Andy Dalton had a hell of game and deserves to be the Air Player of the Week.

Chuba Hubbard is starting to come into his own, and I see him getting better each game.  Dude was a horse today!

Michael Jackson, dude played his butt off but still claims the kid is not his son.  Not sure what that means, but hey... lol

And congratulations to Dave Canales for making the hard decision that so many scratched their heads about this week.

Very good game, and strong showing by someone who could see receivers. Daltons maturity and control of the offense was apparent. He had only 2 real bad throws, the rest were on point. I’m not selling the farm yet, too much hurt there, but dang that was fun to watch.

Special Teams played great.
Offense was very effective, and moved the ball very well. Our O Line kept Andy safe much of the game.

Defense: ok. Much better smothering the run this game. But terrible tackling needs to stop. Guys look like stooges out there at times. Playing too soft in the 4th gets on my nerves. We still need to be able to get to the QB, I didn’t see the hustle to get to him in this game. Sacks felt almost like a lucky break.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen our Panthers beat some one that soundly.

With the help of an accurate passer, the game plan showed a team that can be competitive.

We can win some games .

Lets hope the is the beginning of a rebuild that gets better.

We still have a long road ahead of us ,, but it’s not a dirt road ,, it’s got some good pieces to build around.

Also, hats off to Dan Morgan.  Looks like he is building a team here.  All we needed was for Tepper to get out of the way about playing Bryce.

In another year or 2........

Well, I missed most of the game while it was live. Just picked up bits and pieces here and there. But i watched it later on DVR...

We NEEDED the QB change...SERIOUSLY.!!  This team actually looked like a TEAM. Played decent football most of the game. Converted short yardages; Made first downs;  Accurate passing; Stout running game; Good Special Teams effort; Pineiro looking like mid-season form; Defense was mostly solid, even with DB and ST out; DBs looked like they were "in the moment".  Overall, it looked like an NFL football team.

Andy Dalton looked really good. The only difference between yesterday and the first two weeks was Dalton. He literally turned the team around. Strong throws, plenty of 'zip' when needed. Lots of downfield throws. That throw to Thielen was like an art piece. Could not have been placed any better. The TD to Johnson was really nice too.  Now, lets keep Andy healthy.!!!

Chuba Hubbard looked like he meant business. Running the ball AND catching the ball.  Very solid.

Diontae Johnson looked good. Adam Thielen looked good. Tommy Tremble looked good. Lets hope Thielen is not seriously hurt. Looked like it happened when he went down. Maybe just an impact bruise or a severe cramp or something ....
Praying

D-line was decent -- considering they hadn't played together. I suspect they'll get even better.

O-Line was solid. Ekwonu still has a way to go, but getting better. If we can keep them healthy...???

THIS IS WHAT PANTHERS FOOTBALL SHOULD LOOK LIKE...

No joke, everyone is saying that Bryce had no one to throw to… Andy threw to 8 different people, with 4 of them getting over 40 yards. To beat this horse dead and beat it again, QB was the problem.

EXACTLY...

Everything was the same --- EXCEPT the QB.

For me, this was the first time I felt excited about watching a Panthers football game since way back in the days of Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly.

Just saw a tweet that said we have the most efficient pass blocking in the league. I may not have a scouts eye, but I KNOW our OLINE has been much better this season. Hopefully we can keep it going

The O-Line is supposed to make life easier on the quarterback, but the quarterback should do the same for the O-Line.

If an O-line can block and provide a quarterback 2 - 3 seconds, that's all a QB can ask for.  After that, he's on his own.

If the QB gets the ball out QUICKLY (ala Andy Dalton), the O-Line doesn't get exhausted while a scared quarterback is back there playing pattycake with his feet.

A slow or indecisive quarterback can wear out an O-Line with a quickness.  You can't block all day, no matter how big and ugly you might be.  Rolleyes
