QB trade.....who had this on their bingo card?

The Las Vegas Raiders traded a 2025 third-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks in return for quarterback Geno Smith on Friday, according to league sources.

The first blockbuster deal of the NFL offseason comes just ahead of Monday’s start to the free-agent negotiating period and reunites Smith, 34, with new Raiders coach Pete Carroll, who helped the quarterback resurrect his career as a starter in Seattle.

I had no idea, of course.  But, I can't say I am surprised. Pete Carroll has a LOT of contacts league-wide. He commands a lot of respect, and has a lot of friends and previous co-workers in his contact "tree". No surprise that Geno decided to join up again fore another (perhaps a 'last' ..) push for relevancy.

I don't pull for other teams, but I wish Pete Carroll well.
