PRESEASON GAMEDAY THREAD - PANTHERS @ TEXANS

Even the talking heads (ie; Steve Smith & Company during the game) started with, "It's not time to panic, fans.  It's only the preseason".  By the third quarter, Smitty was like, "Well, I know we talked about it being the preseason, but I think it's time to start evaluating something new"   He even mentioned "developing a new quarterback and parting ways with Jack Plummer".

If it's "only preseason", why can't we accidentally trip over a win on one of these games?  Why is it always OUR team that ends up holding the clumpy brown end of the stick?  

I really hope that Andy Dalton is okay. I have looked at that replay a dozen times. It is possible that there was no contact but then again it is not totally clear. If there was contact it was minimal. I guess weirder things have happened and I wish I had another angle or two but I’m concerned.  Did anyone else record the game and could look at “the hit”.

With Carolina QB Andy Dalton nursing an elbow injury, the Panthers are signing reigning UFL MVP QB Bryce Perkins.

That elbow injury is concerning.  They say he was hit but did anyone see the hit?  I did not see anyone near him when that pass fell 15 yds short.  Maybe it is just a small thing but it potentially looks like it could be significant.

Anyway...the new guy, Bryce #2, sounds interesting.  Spent some time with the Rams.  Got good game experience with the UFL.  He can also run.  Hope he is fun to watch...we need a good back up.
