PANTHERS--Extend Kicker-Zane Gonzalez

Officially---- The Panthers have extended Zane Gonzalez. The Panthers kicker was VERY effective the latter part of last season. After finding themselves in kicker purgatory early in the year where multiple (many) kickers were hired and fired, the Panthers settled in with Gonzalez. The newest kicker then turned in a VERY workman-like ending to the season. Initially, his "leg" seemed a little anemic for distance but bullseye-strong for accuracy. As the season progressed he gradually added a little length, ending up very reliably around 55 yds as a maximum range. Admittedly, that's NOT all-pro length.  However, ACCURACY trumps Distance. EVERY TIME.!!
