***INCOMING***

The Panthers have Agreed To Terms with a Defensive Tackle to help fill the vacancy from when DaQuan Jones signed with the Bills. Ioannidis is 28 y.o. and was drafted in 2016 out of Temple by the Washington (Whatevers.??). Ioannidis has been with Washington since being drafted. The Panthers will be his second NFL team. Ioannidis has a history with Carolina. While at Temple, Ioannidis played for Panthers Head Coach, Matt Rhule.

Welcome to Carolina! It doesn't surprise me that he played under Rhule at Temple, but anyways.... Let's go!

Yeah, Rhule believes in keeping it in the family. Nepotism is alive and well around the Panthers coach. In this case though, I think the choice was a good one. Ioannidis has proven to be more than just OK. He has been a good lineman and effective as both a big man in the middle, as well as a competent rusher in passing situations.  We needed a guy to help shore up the D-Line after losing Jones.....

I wonder what he thinks about UNC knocking off the number one seed Baylor in basketball earlier today?
