PANTHERS RE-SIGN RASHAAN MELVIN

The Panthers have added a little age and experience to their CB room. FA Rashaan Melvin has re-signed with the Panthers for one year. Melvin has been a veteran presence in the locker room for several years. He opted out of the 2020 season over the Covid issue then returned last year. He started two games for the Panthers last year and added a stabilizing influence to the CB room.

Yep... Melvin is a perfect example of a utility player.. He's effective in the CB room and on the field as a backup/part-time DB. We don't need a lot of these guys, but one or two is really nice to have. We will undoubtedly need him at some point this season.
