It has been determined that the Panthers in fact WILL be playing in the NFL this coming season.

Early reports now indicate that the Panthers will have TWO games scheduled this season against NFL competition. The season opener against the Falcons will be played in Atlanta.  And on December 24th, week 16, Christmas Eve, the Panthers will play the Packers at BofA.

The balance of the season is in doubt because of S.O.S.. Word on the street indicates the Panthers may be invited to play a lot of their schedule against NCAA teams looking for "tuneup" games.
