CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added another cornerback with size to the mix on Monday.

The team added former Vikings cornerback Akayleb Evans off waivers.

The 2022 fourth-rounder has played in seven games this year but started 15 for the Vikings last season.

The 6-foot-2, 198-pound Evans has only played three snaps on defense this season while participating mostly on special teams.

To make room for him on the roster, the Panthers waived veteran outside linebacker Charles Harris.

Harris had 3.0 sacks this season in nine games this season, but his play-time dwindled upon the return of D.J. Wonnum to the lineup.

Can this CB help us?  The secondary was awful Sunday. The best player was a major penalty machine.

Maybe for depth.  He was drafted, not high, but drafted nonetheless.  I looked for college highlights of him and there were about 58 seconds of highlights.  I've seen more highlights on my wife's hair lol

Hindsight is always 20-20 but, ..... I would have preferred to hold on to Harris I think. He was serviceable on the outside and could move inside as well.

Amare Barno is now back practicing. So, maybe we will have him available for the last 5-6 games..??

DEFENSE = we have to be better...
