I had missed checking in with the Panthers App. Glad you posted this. Now I can watch KRISTEN.!!  Sure glad to have her back.  Hope her little guy is doing well. Has anyone heard.??

And I have to say, I believe this guy. He comes across as honest and genuine and acknowledges his nature and desire to win. How can you not like a quarterback who wants to do nothing but win? Good solid first interview with him, and I look forward to seeing him on the field competing with Sam Darnold.

But, think on it for a second, this guy took a $3.4 Million Dollar pay cut in order to go ahead and make the trade happen. It isn't like some situations where players are traded without their knowledge or consent. He had been negotiating with the Panthers for weeks according to him.

Agreed..... I thought he looked pretty good (honest..) overall. It's always difficult to understand the rationale behind roster moves like this. I think Mayfield is trying to put his best foot forward as the time to perform draws closer. There was nothing here today that could be even remotely construed as hopeful as far as his level of play is considered. I am NOT sold on what EXACTLY he brings to the table that we didn't already have, especially considering our draft QB is waiting in the wings. However, I DO believe that he will add a lot of competition to the QB room and an additional layer of performance to a position that MAY require multiple layers as the season wears on.

Considering he (Mayfield..) has been playing behind one of the BEST O-lines in the league the past four years....I'm not sure how that will equate to success or failure here with our recently refurbished O-line. I wish him luck....the same way I wish Darnold luck. We need some of that to go along with better play that we will hopefully get from our off-season acquisitions.
