With all of the questions and permutations that currently flood the Panthers "crystal ball-future", it might be good to take a moment and quickly review the "Draft" situation as it appears right now (today..).  Looking forward, the Panthers still have all (well, most..) of their "top-ranked" picks for 2023 and 2024. But there are some "holes" in the draft order coming up in the next couple of years.

Next year (2023..), the Panthers currently have their 1st and 2nd as well as their 4th and 5th. The 3rd and 6th were dealt to the Patriots in different deals. The 7th went to Jacksonville as part of the deal for Laviska Shenault Jr.  The Patriot deals included the Stephon Gilmore trade which we gave up at FA time this past year (No matter how you feel about that, all FA deals cannot be concluded satisfactorily... Some of them you have to let go of..). The other Patriot deal was for draft position last year when we moved up to get Matt Corral.

In 2024, the Panthers currently have their own 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. They also have a 5th acquired from Tennessee and a 6th from Arizona. The Tennessee deal sent our Dennis Daley to them along with our 2024 7th rounder --- where we received their 2024 5th rounder in return. The Arizona deal just happened yesterday. We traded Robbie Anderson to Arizona for their 2024 6th rounder and their 2025 7th rounder.  so, 2024 has an 'almost' full-slate of picks, missing only a 7th rounder so far.

Here is a full breakdown from the Panthers.
