  • OT Taylor Moton signed a two-year contract extension through the 2027 season, the team announced. Moton's deal is worth $44 million and includes $40 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Friday, per sources. The Panthers veteran's new $22 million APY is tied for fourth among right tackles with Green Bay's Zach Tom. Moton was due $17.5M this year, the final year of his deal. The starting right tackle has started 113 of 129 games played since joining Carolina as a 2017 second-round pick.

Decent deal, my only concern with it being so heavily guaranteed is his age. They compared him to Zach Tom but Zach is five years younger.

I hear ya, and I know it only takes one play, but Taylor Moten has been extremely reliable and durable

Good move by the Panthers. I get the feeling that when his contract is over, he will be retiring (as a Panther).
