1-The team was outcoached.  Cananles had no answer for an aggressive D.

2-Bryce ain't it.  Sure..he "nearly" led a comeback. When things got serious, Gannon pulled out his big defensive stick and Bryce was toast.

3-Going tom have another high draft pick in 2026

So...who is our next QB?

I agree Lady Panther.. In the first half we had no answer for the 5 person rush,, Thats being out coached. We can't wait till half time to make adjustments. The game was basically over by half time. Hindsight is always 20/20 , but I didn't like the going for 2 with that much time left in the game.
When we were making an attempted comeback, Az just started the 5-6 man rush and we couldn't stop them. Much of this is on coaching for not making in game adjustments., and a lot on the Offensive line for rarely getting the blocking assignments correct.
If Cananles is not a good play caller.

Bryce. We all think he's a great human , but he's not good at a reading where a blitz is coming from , period. He's not good at checking out of a play when he reads a defense. IF HE WAS, HE'D HAVE DONE SO IN THE FIRST HALF. He can't get out of trouble when the line collapses. Too many bad ending to plays where if you take a sack the game is over ... not just yesterday but in the past. He's not grasping something. Yes he's too short. I wasn't one to think that mattered based on other NFL QB's , but in his case, that 5'9" is too short to read the receivers when there's an all-out rush.
Yesterday AZ changed to a 4 man rush in the second half and Bryce looked better,, but teams play different with leads.. and teams play different when playing from behind. What ever we ( ME ) thought Bryce might have learned in the last games of the season last year,, is gone in 2 games.

If we want to try to win now, today, next week, pull Bryce and play who ever. There are rusty old veterans that we can sign.
If we don't care and are tanking,, play Bryce every game. But we've seen there are no assurances with the College QB's coming in. Especially the Manning from Texas lol..

I'd like to see us go ahead and let Andy play till he gets hurt and then have another old vet take over. Someone that can at least read the defense .

I don't think we have the personnel for the 3 -4 . Our front 3 are ok. but we don't have dominate linebackers. ( some might say they are just bad. )
So fire Evero if you want to, but I don't think he''s been given the tools. Michael Parsons sure looks good at GB , but that would mean we were trying to help the defense .

T MACK is a very good first round pick. YES !!! Most of our picks aren't average. Xavier Legette and Jonathon Brooks are not good picks at #32 and #46. Bryce Young #1 and Jonathon Mingo at #39 .. Not good picks. That's 4 players we should be getting way above average play from.4
Front office contributions to 8 years of failure and a franchise that is now the worst in many categories.

Love your elaboration on these points OP  and I agree with you.  I should have mentored...TMac looked very good.

Evero is too stubborn.  Why try to play a scheme that you do not have the players for??

Wonder how long Tepper can hold in that temper?

T-Mac is probably the BEST first round pick we have made since Julius Peppers.  Time will tell, but he does NOT look like a rookie.

Bryce is a nice kid, and I appreciate his sense of urgency during trash time, but why can't he do that in the first three quarters of football?

Coaching is deplorable.  Evero might not make it past game six, and Canales might not make it much further.

Something seriously positive needs to happen right now and for the next five or six games, or Tepper is going to lose his marbles.

I do my think any of us liked Baker but he is ten times the QB that Bryce is and we simply let him walk away. Before the season ended and at the very least costing us a compensatory draft pick.

You not wrong, I felt like Baker never got a fair shake really UNTIL he got to the Bucs.  I didn’t care for his attitude, but I mean, I don’t know if I would blame him.

Just for clarity I have never liked Baker Mayfield, his attitude and even his play as a QB. I think he is decent but still 10 times better than Mr Young. And to let him walk (he was not be disruptive) was just a poor football business decision. We keep making poor football business decisions.

I know, and unpopular opinion, I wasn’t a fan of Cam either while we’re at it.  I tend to like pocket passers more.  Can was exciting to watch, but I hated the way he’d dance before he read the defense.  I prefer the strong arm, field general type.

How low is the success bar currently ? For 7-8 years we've been "wanna be's " We aren't . Will we find success in a game we lose 24-21 where we have no turnovers, have a good running and passing game. , and the other team wins on a fluke play.

BlackCat. Where as I like the Cam years, probably because the whole team was good, offense, defense, etc.. But who are the current pocket passers you currently like. They all have to run some.. I like Drake Mayes. Brock Purty , Joe Burroughs, Dak Presscott, Trevor Lawrence

It doesn't take a lot to be better.  Just saying.... Bag
